The challenge.

Holt JCB is one of the oldest and longest running JCB dealers in the world. Covering the South West and South Wales their business has an extensive footprint, delivering a wide range of products and services across new and used JCB machines.

With a rapidly changing competitive and operational environment the company completed a significant strategic review of its marketing and customer engagement plans. At the heart of it was the need to reimagine their website, which had experienced little investment over a period of time so was failing to deliver in a wide variety of ways.

We were thrilled when the Holt leadership team asked us to complete a total overhaul, delivering a new website that is fit to support their ambitions over the coming years.

Our solution.

For a website of this scale the scoping and planning phase was all important. Extensive work was completed to understand the varied product and service offers, which provided the foundation for building the navigation and range of page structures that ensure a streamlined user experience.

As a long-standing family business it was essential that the human side and service focus of the Holt business was given suitable prominence throughout the customer journey. All supported by the association with, and reassurance that, the JCB brand provides.

From the design perspective working on a brand as renowned and recognisable as JCB is a privilege. Striking the right balance in use of the brand colours so they are not overpowering was essential. Alongside ensuring a contemporary feel that follows up-to-date digital design practices, that delivers a responsive website that feels very much of the moment.

The results.

The new website has revolutionised Holt's digital presence. Client feedback has been ubiquitously positive, complemented by recognition of the transformation from other parts of the JCB business. 

Sales and marketing activities are more streamlined, with further opportunities in development, due to the website being integrated with Holt’s digital communication software. A tailored CMS structure enables efficient content management, saving significant time in ongoing website administration.

From a technical point of view strong optimisation foundations are in place that will help deliver improved search competitiveness. Alongside a coding structure, delivered within the Webflow platform, that ensures the site performs well against core page speed metrics and delivers upon a wide range of accessibility requirements.
